Lenovo has had spectacular growth at all levels in recent years, but Motorola has also regained ground and partly thanks to Google. While owned by the Mountain View firm, the MotoG range in an intermediate segment of smartphone managed to trigger the manufacturer’s sales during its first generation. The continuation of this model, although it has been somewhat decaffeinated, has managed to pose as one of the smartest options in the mid-range, and has returned the brand to a position of prestige and recognition for which it was known for.
Motorola returns to the market with a new logo
In the realm of technology – especially video games and consoles – the ‘re-launches’ are a spectacular success and this Motorola move seems to mimic those ‘relaunches’. Not only because Lenovo has rescued the brand to give it visibility in its smartphone catalog – as before, with the Moto- range, but it has also made it debut a new logo reminiscent of the best years of the firm. They returned the identity that corresponded to the ‘Moto’, which for some months have been depicted as ‘Moto by Lenovo’. Lenovo promised to give continuity to the appreciated midrange Motorola and, although with a change of name, has done. Therefore, it is expected that the different models of Motorola smartphone will continue, but now, leaving behind the title ‘Moto by Lenovo’ and reusing Motorola’s own branding. The ownership, of course, continues to fall on Lenovo which, in parallel, also launches other smartphones with its own brand.
